Stephen Mikita, PT, DPT
Dr. Stephen G. Mikita is the owner and manager of SG Mikita Physical Therapy. He holds a Bachelor’s in Health Science and a Master’s in Physical Therapy from Mercy College in New York City. Born and Raised in New York, Stephen Mikita moved to California in 2002 and quickly was employed by West Hills Medical Center, where he spent most of his time in the Inpatient and Outpatient Facility. He has hospital background in acute care, rehabilitation, and outpatient care for many years before taking over the private practice in 2005. Dr. Mikita enjoys treating a variety of patients to help them reach their goals of returning to sports, work, and other recreational activities. He also believes in a strong emphasis on home exercise programs and patient education for better long-term results. Dr. Mikita’s philosophy of individualized care and one-on-one treatment program allows him to provide the highest quality of service to all his patients. Dr. Mikita has taken continuing education courses in:

- Myofascial Mobilization

Rod Castaniaga JR., PT, MPT, CFPS
Multi-Site Clinic Director / Physical Therapist
Rod is a first generation Filipino-American college graduate raised in the Central Coast of California. He spent his first 2 years at UC Santa Barbara and later received his BS in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science from CSU Fullerton in 2004. He would later attend CSU Northridge to obtain his Masters in Physical Therapy in 2008. In 2011, Rod became an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor. He is a trained provider of Graston Technique, an Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization technique. In order to stay up to date, Rod has taken numerous continuing education courses that include the geriatric population, sports injuries and post-surgical interventions. However, his passion is working with athletes, sports injuries and how to minimize the effect of the aging process. In an effort to further help the aging population, Rod became a Certified Fall Prevention Specialist in October 2022.
In his personal time, Rod loves to spend time with his lovely wife Sarah and his daughter Sophia. He loves to travel, mountain bike, weight train, and play basketball. Rod is an avid sports fan of the Los Angeles Lakers and San Francisco 49ers.
